Teen Track - Pilates for Teens and Tweens


Welcome teens and tweens, both new to and familiar with pilates – we have designed specific classes specifically for you!


Through our teen program you will experience improved posture, self-awareness, core strength and flexibility – all of which support healthy growth through the teen years. We also offer personalized attention through private pilates lessons if you are trying to improve your performance in specific sport or are recovering from an injury. Teens new to pilates need to call and set up an initial evaluation.


Many of our students are referred by their coaches as cross-training support for their main sport interest, however pilates class can be a place where non-athletic teens get the opportunity to improve body mechanics and feel stronger and more comfortable in their bodies. Our teen pilates program is GREAT for building positive inter-team relations, improved endurance, agility, precision, energy, flexibility and focus. Building confidence in one’s self along the way – something that no one can take away.

Teen Track Class Schedule: 

Teen Track on Mondays 4:30 - 5:30pm 

Pilates Teens (or teens with dance experience)
In this session we will start moving beyond basic Level I work onto Level II on both equipment and mat. 

Ages 13+.  Class size limited to 5. 


Teen Track on Wednesdays 4:30 - 5:30pm
For beginners and teens new to pilates, we will learn the classic sequence of pilates exercises and vocabulary, with emphasis on whole body strength, flexibility and body awareness.

Ages 13+.  Class size limited to 5.

Tweens on Thursdays 4:30 - 5:30pm
For beginners and teens new to pilates, we will learn the classic sequence of pilates exercises and vocabulary, with emphasis on whole body strength, flexibility and body awareness.

Ages 10 to 12/13.  Class size limited to 5.

  1. Currently we work with equestrians, mountain bikers, soccer and volleyball players to strengthen and support their specific needs. In another sport? Come in and see how pilates can extend to you too!


  2. Teens are welcome in any Basic Mat classes scheduled throughout the week.


  3. We are open to creating new class times. Let your imagination run, create a class after school for you and your friends.


  4. Summertime! When school is out we offer Teen Track Summer Session, where teens will learn both equipment and mat work. Call the studio for more information.


  5. Pilates sessions may be eligible as PE credits at some schools, please confirm with your school first. (Marin Academy acknowledges this program for PE credits).
